Have you ever thought about how to answer these...
"How do snow plow drivers get to work?"
"Why is there only one monopolies commission?"
"Why do kamikaze pilots wear crash helmets?"
"Why is abbreviation such a long word?"
Maybe it's just the way my mind works, but I like these .......
"God is our refuge and strengthToday I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new titbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honoured because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
What today will be like is up to me.
I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

Coming to the end of another day, I thought I would post this poem I came across. It is a lovely reminder that what ever we are worried about, care about infact whatever is on our hearts all we have to do is give it all over to God (Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37 v 4).

Just thought I would let you all know that we received an email from Shaun tonight to say that he has arrived safely in Banjul and to pass on his thanks for praying for him, they appreciate your support.
Please remember Shaun as he is out in Banjul and remember the family as they await his return.

Evening all,
Just a quick note to let you all know that our server for the main Church website (www.dingwallevangelicalchurch.co.uk) is experiencing some technical difficulties at present. Hopefully it will be back up and running later.

I hope you don't mind Homebird but I had to post the picture you sent me of the jigsaw as I was very impressed that you had done it already!
After coming home from work having had "one of those days", I came across the following and thought I would post it here for anyone else who might of had "one of those days". Maybe if I had come across it at the start of the day rather than the end the day might of been better .... (Hindsight is a wonderful thing!)

Rainbows appear after mighty storms
