Sunday Family Time
Hey here's a new thing we are going to start from tonight at our Sunday Family Time - we are going to start learning Bible verses. We will give out one verse each week and you will all have one week to learn it. We will use the New Century Version.
I will post the Bible verses on each of the blogs (this blog and the bebo site)

I wish... and I can!
There are times when I wish I could do so much more than I am physically or emotionally able.
I wish I could read into people's hearts, to see what it is they really need most at the present time
I wish I could touch their loves in such a way that it heals their hurts, calms their fears, and gives them hope
I wish I had enough money to meet the needs of every human being that cries out from hunger or poverty
I wish, when I see someone going down a steep road of destruction, and destroying themselves in the process, that I could stand in their way, and make them turn around
I wish I could change the minds and motives of those who rule over us, so that each person is cared for equally
I wish I always had the right words, in every situation, to make people see that God is faithful and will not let them down, if they trust Him
I wish so many things. And I find that I fall short of every one, and my efforts are held back by human emotion, divided loyalties, fear, anxiety, physical & mental exhaustion, and not enough money in the bank to "feed the world" as I would like to.
A well known songwriter once penned these words: "Just keep doing your best, and Jesus takes care of the rest".
I am only one human in a very large world of need. But I can do my little bit, and I can do the most important thing any human can do for the rest of the world - PRAY! And by doing so, I allow Jesus to do the rest, by asking Him to meet the needs we cannot hope to meet .
That's when "I wish" truly becomes "I can"!
